My Identity in Christ Jesus

When we truly believe that Yahweh’s only begotten Son, Yeshua became flesh, tempted just like everyone else, yet lived a sinless life, died for our sin on the cross, buried and resurrected on the third day from the dead and when we make a full stop to the way we lived before and surrender my spirit, soul and body to Yeshua and make Yeshua my Savior (someone who can save me from eternal damnation) and Lord (Owner and King), at the very moment we will be born-again by the Holy Spirit. In other words, our spirit (this is YOU) became alive by the power of the Holy Spirit.

A born-again life in Christ Jesus is full of life and spirit if we head to the gentle prompting of the spirit of Yeshua. However, when we look at the life of many of the born-again believers, sadly their life is not filled with life and spirit but the opposite. This is because of the ignorance to the gentle guidance of the Holy Spirit who is given to us to walk in Christ triumphantly.

Often, we forget who we are in Christ Jesus and what Jesus has done for us already. Now it is up to us to receive them in faith and work out in our life to walk as our Lord has walked.

Here is a list of verses remind and equip us who we are in Yeshua. These verses which I have personalized for you to meditate everyday to edify our spirit and soul!

I’m a child of God bought with the precious blood of Yeshua.

You were bought with the precious blood of Christ’s death. He was a pure and perfect sacrificial Lamb.

1 Peter 1:19

I’m a new creation in Christ Jesus.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

2 Cori. 5:17

I have no condemnation as I’m in Christ Jesus.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:1

I have peace with Father God.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:1

I’m the salt of the earth.

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

Matthew 5:13

I’m the light of the world.

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

Matthew 5:14

I’m the righteousness of God.

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

2 Corinthians 5:21

I’m a branch of the True Vine.

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

John 15:5

I have been chosen to bear everlasting fruits.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. John 15:16

I’m a son/daughter of Yahweh and He is my Father eternally.

And I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”

2 Corinthians 6:18

I’m a joint heir with Christ.

and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

Romans 8:17

I’m a temple of Yahweh.

Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.

1 Corinthians 3:16

I’m a temple of Holy Spirit.

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

1 Corinthians 6:19

I’m united with Christ to be one spirit.

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

1 Corinthians 6:17

I’m a member of the body of Christ.

For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:12

I’m an ambassador for Christ.

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

1 Corinthians 5:20

I’m a saint.

Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.

Colossians 1:12

I’m a citizen of Kingdom of God.

But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.

Philippians 3:20

I’m a masterpiece in Christ Jesus for good works.

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Ephesians 2:10

I’m seated with Christ in the Kingdom of Yahweh.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

Ephesians 2:4-6

I’m hidden in Christ.

For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Colossians 3:3

I’m a partaker of Heavenly calling.

Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession.

Hebrews 3:1

I’m victorious in Christ Jesus in everything.

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Romans 8:37

I’m a stranger and sojourner in the world.

Dear friends, since you are immigrants and strangers in the world, I urge that you avoid worldly desires that wage war against your lives.

1 Peter 2:11

I’m a chosen and royal priest.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people who are God’s own possession. You have become this people so that you may speak of the wonderful acts of the one who called you out of darkness into his amazing light.

1 Peter 2:9

I’m predestined to be conformed to the image of Christ.

For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Romans 8:29

I’m holy and blameless, chosen in Christ before the foundation of the earth.

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.

Ephesians 1:4

I’m crucified with Christ Jesus. I no longer live but Christ lives in me.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.

Galatians 2:20

I have crucified my flesh with all its desires.

And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Galatians 5:24

I have submitted my members of my body as instruments of righteousness to Yahweh.

And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

Romans 6:13

I’m an heir to Abraham’s inheritance through Christ.

And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.

Galatians 3:29
